When I came to the city 2.5 years ago, I was moving into a bedroom that was literally the size of a closet in my previous apartment. Because of this, I ended up with 10+ bags of clothing, shoes, etc to give to Goodwill (and my sister). Knowing the measurements of my new room, I strategically figured out exactly how much furniture I could bring and maximized the space as much as possible. From there, with what little wall space I had left, I essentially turned the rest of my room into a closet. I purchased decorative hooks and nails from flea markets or vintage stores to hang my favorite jewelry, scarves, purses and coats. Not only did this create more space in my room, but it also allowed me to see my things, rather than have them tucked underneath my bed and forever forgotten. Yesterday morning I snapped a few photos of what I currently having "hanging around" my room. Enjoy!
